Contact Information

Your contact information is only collected if you choose to provide it to us through our mailing list, when making a donation, or creating an account on this site. This information is stored and may be deleted as described below.

Mailing List and Membership
We collect and manage membership and mailing list data with Airtable.com and your data resides on Airtable.com servers. We do not share this information. The Airtable.com privacy policy is here: https://airtable.com/privacy

Donations
We collect donations with Givelively.org and the transaction data resides on the Givelively.org servers. We do not share this information. The Give Lively privacy policy is here: https://www.givelively.org/privacy

Security Logs

The IP address of visitors, user ID of logged in users, and username of login attempts are conditionally logged to check for malicious activity and to protect the site from specific kinds of attacks. Examples of conditions when logging occurs include login attempts, log out requests, requests for suspicious URLs, changes to site content, and password updates. This information is retained for 14 days.

Cookies

Cookies are small text files that are used to store small pieces of information. The cookies are stored on your device when the website is loaded on your browser. The cookies we use primarily help us understand how the website performs and to analyze what works and where it needs improvement. Contributors to this site

Contact Information

Your contact information is not shared with anyone outside of the The National LGBT Cancer Network. We use the following platforms to collect donations and manage our mailing list. Personal data you provide us is stored on these platforms:

  • Givelively.com

Security Check

When running Security Check, ithemes.com will be contacted as part of a process to determine if the site supports TLS/SSL requests. No personal data is sent to ithemes.com as part of this process. This site is part of a network of sites that protect against distributed brute force attacks. To enable this protection, the IP address of visitors attempting to log into the site is shared with a service provided by ithemes.com. For privacy policy details, please see the iThemes Privacy Policy.

How long we retain your data

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information. Additional data will be stored as follows:

  • Anonymized Google Analytics data will be stored indefinitely.
  • Mailing list contact data will be stored until we receive a request to delete your data.
  • Donation transaction data will be stored indefinitely, but you may request that we delete your contact information after the donation has been processed and a confirmation email has been sent.
  • Security logs are retained for 14 days.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Contact and donation data is stored on the third-party sites as described above and is protected by those sites. This site uses an encrypted SSL connection.

What data breach procedures we have in place

If we find that your data has been compromised will will immediately work to secure our site and notify you of the breach. If we are informed of a security breach affecting your data on a third party site that we use, we will contact you by email. The third party site will remediate the situation according to their data protection policies.
