Claudia Pitts, PhD is an Illinois licensed clinical psychologist and program director for the MA in Psychology program at National-Louis University. She balances her academic work with clinical practice. Her research interests focus on intersections of emotional and physical health. She regularly presents for academic, professional and consumer groups.

Katie Hiler

Katie Hiler graduated from the University of Rochester with Bachelors degrees in Brain and Cognitive Science and English. Since graduating in 2009 she has worked as an Editorial Assistant for Springer Science+Business Media in the disciplines of Clinical Medicine and Human Sciences. Katie is also writes for the National LGBT Cancer Network and is looking to pursue a career in scientific journalism. She currently lives in Brooklyn.
